Doing some rseaecrh into wearables, AI and AR this week.
Prompted in part by this article, which is scary and interesting in equal measures. Plus thoughts about the Internet of things. And that I lost by phone four times, and found it again four times in the space of four days, but lost my glasses, asyet unrecovered.
In an idea world my glasses would be intelligent enough to tell me where they are - if not what they are looking at. My friend has a pair of camera glasses. Actually quite clever. You need to stare close to realise that there is something odd about them. And the quality is very good.
The first time I lost my phone … i left it one the train at Euston Station in London. The Find my Apple app found it immediately, apparently having a coffee on the concourse. But actually it was round the corner in the lost property office. So the tech is not quite there yet.
But in my perfect future my glasses - which costs about £300, so I’d really like to get them back - would show me where they are, and perhaps send me a picture of what it could see. Perhaps my sandy feet heading towards it thankfully.
This makes for an interesting read
