August 4, 2021

The Sayings of Laozi

Laozi - “Master Lao” or “Old Master” - lived in the 6th century BC in China and is considered the first philosopher of Chinese Daoism.

In this podcast series we introduce ourselves to the Daodejing - his greatest work.

Laozi is venerated as a philosopher by Confucians and as a saint or god in popular religion, and was worshipped as an imperial ancestor during the Tang Dynasty.
