The Task
To come up with an app idea to a given theme - namely:
”As long as we have each other - we will never run out of problems”
Approach:
I interpreted the task positively as being to create an app to be used by friends or colleagues to epxress their problems, and solicit ideas for solutions.
Thoughts:
Several aspects to this task. To see how we might creatively approach the problem. How we might express our ideas to the group. Our approach to development of a project, problem highlighting and solving.
I opted to create a short explainer video using Spark which is part of Adobe Creative suite which I am already familiar with. Although this was an exercise, I do actually believe the app is actually a good idea.
I ran the concept past the kind of people I could imagine using it, in the media, in business, and their response was that it might be a good ‘closed community’ secure way or communicating while cutting the clutter and distraction. that other apps suffer from - WhatsApp, WeChat, Facebook etc.
It’s a simple single use focussed app concept.
