MONKEY - Journey to the West
Monkey - Journey to the West, a fantasy fiction, was written by Wu Cheng’en of the Ming Dynasty, and is one of the Four Great Classical Novels in Chinese literature. It has been described as arguably the most popular literary work in East Asia.
Monkey, is an abridged translation of the sixteenth-century Chinese novel, by British English orientalist and sinologist Arthur Waley.
Originally published in 1942, Monkey remains one of the most-read English-language versions of the novel.
